Our Supply Chain
The Company has developed strong, open working relationships with its supply chain and continues to do so as new opportunities arise and through collaborative working, supply chain members, in particular, the smaller companies have become part of the extended team and work seamlessly with our staff.
Our commitment to the local supply chain is a key part of our business strategy; our involvement in a project can bring benefits to local areas through increasing local employment and providing opportunities for local SMEs, suppliers and subcontractors. The Company is committed to supporting local economies and providing opportunities for development in the areas where we operate, and also recognize that using locally sourced materials helps to reduce our carbon footprint, by reducing travel distances for deliveries.
Currently, 91% of the Company’s turnover is spent in South West Wales whilst 85% of materials and subcontractors are sourced from the SA postcode. This has been achieved by adopting the philosophy of i2i SME Friendly Procurement Guide.
As a Llanelli based Company we have developed an approved supply chain of appropriate trade contractors and suppliers to deliver projects within the South West Wales area and include trade contractors and suppliers that we have successfully worked with on similar frameworks.
Including a local supplier/subcontractor within a supply chain keeps money circulating closer to where it is earned and this is described as the Local Multiplier Effect.
The Company is proud to state that when judged against i2i Community Benefits Calculator, the Company’s Welsh multiplier is well above the average at £1.91. This is very favourable when compared with the Welsh average of £1.76.
With an intent to maintain a higher than norm average, T.A.D. Builders Ltd will benchmark local suppliers and subcontractors.
T.A.D. Builders Ltd will adopt best practice for contracting with the supply chain and align their systems and paperwork to give efficiencies that can be passed through to the Framework Authorities/Clients.
